Em 1969, começou a sentir tensão entre os Beatles.

Paul McCartney, que estava muito preocupado com a situação, sonhou com sua mãe Mary, que havia morrido alguns anos antes.

Ela apareceu para tranquilizá-lo e dizer que tudo ficaria bem: "deixa estar", disse ela. Quando ele acordou, Paul escreveu a famosa música e o álbum homônimo foi gravado no mesmo ano.

A banda se separou um mês antes de seu lançamento, mas o álbum ficou nas paradas britânicas por um total de 59 semanas e por 55 semanas nos EUA.

She appeared to him to reassure him and tell him that everything would be ok: “let it be”, she said. When he woke Paul wrote the famous song and the eponymous album was recorded the same year.

The band split up one month before its release, but the album was in the UK charts for a total of 59 weeks and for 55 weeks in the US.
